Are you ready for 2019? Pantone announced their Color of the Year 2019, and the “winner” is – drum roll, please! – Living Coral!! While we think color choices are individual to your mood and your needs, sometimes to see what others predict will be the hot colors is fun and interesting to note. Perhaps it will make us look at a color that we never considered before and open up new ideas for merchandise mixing. For instance, we are always hesitant to wear yellow ourselves, but we have been seeing yellow dresses on celebrities, and we must say it is unexpectectedly eye-catching and attractive! Yellow stones like citrine, lemon quartz, and lemon jade are also beautiful stones in their own right, and we look at them now with new appreciation. Here are the colors Pantone has presented as their Spring Summer 2017 trendy tones. What do you think of them?

Fall/Winter: Bright royal blue and deep purple will be hot colors for Fall/Winter. We have not read the French classic The Scarlet & The Black but the title is very dramatic, n’est-ce que pas? The high contrast hues have certainly inspired one designer this year: Armani Prive Fall/Winter collection is a luxurious and bold collection with red and black as the dominant themes. Summer staple turquoise remains as appealing as a clear azure sky, it’s appeal grown beyond the borders of the American Southwest. Turquoise can be worn with almost anything and anywhere, from desert to urban jungle. In fact, the more modern the better. It is also a great transition color between summer and fall/winter, where this year navy blue appears to be the emerging color trend. At Sasi Bon, we try to keep updated on the trends so that we can offer you the styles people will be demanding months from now. So let’s take a moment to anticipate what customers will be looking for in the months ahead. Already the haute couture designers have had their runway shows for 2015 looks, and mass retailers will be distilling and interpreting these collections into some ready-to-wear pieces. In terms of color, 2015 will see the waning of neon colors and a return to more muted, natural tones. In fact the spring/summer pallet offered by Pantone is a return to pastels, predominantly marine blues and turquoise and sea greens – think Nantucket on a summer day. Although St. Patrick’s Day is past, emerald green continues to be a hot color, seen on red carpets and award shows gracing the hottest celebrity. The color pops, and a bit of it goes a long way. A peachy keen outfit enhanced with Sasi Bon Co. moonstone necklace! Moonstone comes in a variety of colors, the most well-known being the white with iridescent sheen. But moonstone can come in so many colors, and in fact the gray labradorite is a type of moonstone as well.
