Bold but simple shapes, or simple shapes but bold colors are just as “statement” as an ornate piece but with the added benefit of being wearable for daytime as well as nighttime. For instance, these extra large fixed-hook faux pearl drop earrings as seen on Angelina Jolie draw the eyes to her beautiful face and add an accent to her all black outfit. We have not read the French classic The Scarlet & The Black but the title is very dramatic, n’est-ce que pas? The high contrast hues have certainly inspired one designer this year: Armani Prive Fall/Winter collection is a luxurious and bold collection with red and black as the dominant themes. And when wearing such colors, one cannot help but feel powerful and majestic. Summer staple turquoise remains as appealing as a clear azure sky, it’s appeal grown beyond the borders of the American Southwest. Turquoise can be worn with almost anything and anywhere, from desert to urban jungle. In fact, the more modern the better. It is also a great transition color between summer and fall/winter, where this year navy blue appears to be the emerging color trend. We love the spark of crystals, not just in the evening but for all occasions. We especially love the deep and mesmerizing hue of mystic crystal. A mix of Montana blue with AB rainbow hues, it seems to compliment all skin tones and all stone tones too! We’ve put together some of our favorite designs this year using this crystal, mixing it with some wonderful genuine stones. We especially love the imprinted agates which add even more “mystical” qualities to the entire collection.
