Green is a color evocative of many strong associations: fertility, luck, summer, wealth, just to name a few. If you’ve ever traveled to Ireland and seen the green hills, you will understand why it is called the Emerald Isle. The sense of freshness, fertility, and beauty of the color strikes a chord with our innate love of the earth and all her bounty. As such, we have put together a collection of green hued jewelry in wonderful nature-inspired combination. Contact us to see more images from this Green Collection. Collection is available for order now.
Black and white photos, black and white checker board, black and white diamonds… the stark contrast between these two colors has always been attractive to the eyes. This spring, black and white can be found in all manner of fashion accessories and clothing, so it becomes supremely important to distinguish the fashionista from the trend-followers. Classic, cool and chic, Sasi Bon’s monochrome pearl and black agate necklace offsets the two extreme colors with an intermediate soft and satiny gray of the genuine freshwater pearls. The black agate gleams with a bright gloss. The look is ultra high luxe.
Gemstones were created by nature over millions of years, each piece of gemstone, cut from the whole, seems to have a life of its own. No two can be exactly alike, nor would any connoisseur wish them to be. Far from being the provenance of flower children or hippies, semiprecious beads can also add a welcome dose of glamor and color to haute couture. Evening wear does not have to follow the tired old rules! In our next series of posts, Sasi Bon would like to introduce to you fabulous designs of high-end jewelry using semiprecious beads and crystals. The smooth gray of Vivian Westwood Short Peppermint Cocotte dress is enlivened with Sasi Bon’s fluorite and cape amethyst necklace and matching earrings. The variance of shapes of the stones also bring a touch of whimsy and compliment the asymmetrical draping of the dress. The bright sheen of Sasi Bon’s double strand necklace and earrings are matched by the metallic clutch and shoes, by Zac Posen and Vera Wang, respectively.

Further to our thoughts about tangerine, this notoriously difficult color to wear actually works very well as an accent color, especially when paired with a neutral hue such as grey or tan or olive. Then the color really pops without becoming too cartoonish or overwhelming. As such, jewelry and accessories in tangerine tones then becomes a great merchandise to carry to complement this trend. Sasi Bon offers some great tangerine accent pieces which is just tart enough for the fashionable woman who does not want to look too fruity!
Back in January, Pantone declared that Tangerine Tango was the Color of the Year for 2012. Personally, we did not think Tangerine made a big impact this year as Honeysuckle did last year. Perhaps this is only the cusp of the trend and we will see more demand for tangerine from consumers of fashion in spring or summer of 2013. But fashion is so individual; if we were to see everyone offering tangerine, it would be terribly dull. Other tints also complement orange, like sea green, lavender, and even sky blue, so there is more than enough room for other hues on the color wheel. We love this Spring/Summer 2013 collection from the trend-setting Alexander McQueen label, and it was obviously inspired by bees and beekeepers. Gold and black and yellow tones are the dominant color themes. Here is some Sasi Bon jewelry which would go great with this buzzing new collection; our black agate and citrine collection is right on the honey- I mean, money.
