Gemstones were created by nature over millions of years, each piece of gemstone, cut from the whole, seems to have a life of its own. No two can be exactly alike, nor would any connoisseur wish them to be.  Far from being the provenance of flower children or hippies, semiprecious beads can also add a welcome dose of glamor and color to haute couture.  Evening wear does not have to follow the tired old rules!  In our next series of posts, Sasi Bon would like to introduce to you fabulous designs of high-end jewelry using semiprecious beads and crystals.  The smooth gray of Vivian Westwood Short Peppermint Cocotte dress is enlivened with Sasi Bon’s fluorite and cape amethyst necklace and matching earrings. The variance of shapes of the stones also bring a touch of whimsy and compliment the asymmetrical draping of the dress. The bright sheen of Sasi Bon’s double strand necklace and earrings are matched by the metallic clutch and shoes, by Zac Posen and Vera Wang, respectively.
