Back in January, Pantone declared that Tangerine Tango was the Color of the Year for 2012. Personally, we did not think Tangerine made a big impact this year as Honeysuckle did last year. Perhaps this is only the cusp of the trend and we will see more demand for tangerine from consumers of fashion in spring or summer of 2013. But fashion is so individual; if we were to see everyone offering tangerine, it would be terribly dull. Other tints also complement orange, like sea green, lavender, and even sky blue, so there is more than enough room for other hues on the color wheel.
